Marine Doll – Passionate Entrepreneur Mom, Nutritionist and Belief Breaker

Marine Doll – Take Control Now Podcast
In this episode of the Take Control Now podcast, I had the pleasure of welcoming Marine Doll, independent nutritionist and founder of Bloom Nutrition. We talked about her journey from pharmacy assistant to health insurance trainer, her career change into nutrition, and the central theme: the nutrition of today and tomorrow.
Who is Marine?
Marine is 31 years old and lives in Aigle with her daughter. She describes herself as a passionate entrepreneur mum. After a career spanning several professional stages, she founded bloomenutrition.ch to help mainly mums adopt a diet that respects their health and weight. Alongside this, she also supports early-stage entrepreneurs in structuring their projects.
From Pharmacy Assistant to Insurance Trainer
As a child, Marine dreamed of becoming a lawyer, driven by a desire to make the world a better place. Drawn to healthcare, she turned to an apprenticeship as a pharmacy assistant — after ruling out veterinary medicine, as she couldn't stand the sight of blood. It was during this training that she discovered her interest in nutrition.
After completing her Federal Certificate, she joined a health insurance company where she would spend 9 years. Starting in the claims reimbursement department, she moved into the training department and earned a certified adult educator qualification. That's where she discovered her passion for sharing knowledge and supporting others.
"I realised how much I loved sharing, exchanging ideas, and being able to question colleagues' practices to help improve them."
The Turning Point: Becoming a Mum and Taking the Leap
The birth of her daughter was the decisive turning point. Marine became aware of how much time she was giving to her employer and the lack of purpose she felt. Faced with the need to feed her daughter, she remembered her interest in nutrition and enrolled in a nutrition school alongside her job.
It was thanks to the association Passions Aide Entrepreneurs and a six-week support programme that she took the plunge. Two months after completing the programme, she handed in her resignation.
"When you're surrounded by people with projects, with that energy... you feel like anything is possible."
She launched her first nutrition evenings in April 2019, then went full-time in November 2019 — just before the pandemic.

The Nutrition of Today and Tomorrow
For Marine, food is the fuel you put into your body. An act repeated several times a day, every day, that deserves to be honoured. She observes that many people think they eat well, influenced by supermarket marketing, when the reality is often quite different.
On dietary supplements and meal-replacement shakes, she is clear:
"What respect are we showing our bodies when we do that? The moment we pay greater attention to our diet, it's also a form of respect we show towards ourselves."
Her practical tips:
- Make your own salad dressing with cold-pressed oils rather than buying supermarket ones
- Prepare overnight porridge (oats, chia seeds, almond milk) rather than grabbing a croissant at 10am
- Batch cook: prepare larger quantities and freeze them (soups, grain patties)
- Reconnect with your hunger and fullness cues
Her Vision and Advice
Marine advocates an approach where personal development and entrepreneurship are inseparable:
- Break through limiting beliefs: she long defined herself negatively ("not sporty", "hopeless with tech") before deconstructing those thoughts
- You are your own work tool: if you're not doing well, your business can't do well either
- Surround yourself with inspiring but accessible people, who are just a little further ahead on their journey
- Never stop dreaming: the advice she'd give her 20-year-old self
"The only limits we have are the ones we impose on ourselves."
Her ambition in 10 years: to reach a large portion of the French-speaking population to bring improvement to their diet and their lives.
