Project : Broco
SaaS web app built in Switzerland
The Swiss web app that puts the local food scene of French-speaking Switzerland in the spotlight, connecting producers, artisans and food lovers around experiences to enjoy nearby.
The context
Broco is the project of Jérémie Cordier, a chef who trained in renowned kitchens, including Stéphane Décotterd's Le Pont de Brent, before opening his own restaurant, Racine, in La Tour-de-Peilz. His cooking comes down to one idea: ultra-local, the terroir, producers within 70 kilometres. Broco extends that conviction into the digital world: a platform that gives visibility to the producers, artisans and enthusiasts of the local food scene of French-speaking Switzerland, and lets anyone discover, right around them, the activities and experiences that bring the region to life, from a fishing outing to a cheese-making workshop in the hills above Vevey.
The challenge
Broco's development had started offshore. After months of work, the product was not moving forward the way Jérémie had hoped: too much distance, too little concrete grip on progress. He chose to start again from a clean base and work locally, with a real technical partnership, to turn the idea into a genuinely usable product and ship a first version.
The solution
AsuOs took over Broco's development and built the first version of the web app, in direct partnership with Jérémie. In three months of part-time development, the app went from an idea to a working first version: a marketplace of local experiences, an interactive map to explore what is happening nearby, activity booking, recurring subscriptions and payments for professionals via Stripe, member-to-member messaging, push notifications, an admin back office, plus CRM and analytics integrations to steer the product and the user relationship.
The app ships as an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) on mobile and desktop, on a modern, durable stack: Next.js and React on the web, AdonisJS and PostgreSQL on the server, Stripe for professional subscriptions, MapLibre for mapping, OneSignal for notifications, Cloudinary for media.
