Project : Pulsemedica
Medical mobile app built in Switzerland
The React Native mobile app that extends the Pulsemedica medical CRM/ERP on the move, shipped on the App Store and Google Play, deployed across practices and clinics in Switzerland.
The context
PulseUp SA builds Pulsemedica, a Swiss medical CRM/ERP used daily by practices, clinics and care centres. The web platform equips the whole practice: scheduling, patient records, document management, billing, administration. The security bar is the one of the Swiss medical sector: nFADP compliance, sovereign hosting, fine-grained access control over patient data.
The challenge
Doctors do not spend their whole day behind a desk. Part of the job happens on home visits, in consultations outside the practice, in the corridor between two rooms, typically the daily routine of a dermatologist, a rural doctor or a caregiver on assignment.
Pulsemedica wanted to offer its users an iOS and Android mobile app that extends the CRM on the move, at the same level of rigour as the web version. For this mobile track, Pulsemedica chose to partner with outside mobile development expertise, a partnership with AsuOs, rather than pulling in its own teams, who stay focused on the web platform and the backend where they have the most impact.
The solution
AsuOs handles the development and maintenance of Pulsemedica's React Native mobile app (iOS + Android), working directly with their product team and their backend team that runs the infrastructure and the API.
First version shipped on the App Store and Google Play in March 2025, then a gradual rollout: first to Pulsemedica's close partners to refine the experience in real conditions, then to all customers. Ongoing roadmap: new features, security, store updates, iOS and Android evolutions.
Product focus on the doctor's side: biometric authentication, patient directory and schedule ready for the move, document management and photo annotation designed for mobile practice (typically dermatology, where photographing lesions, annotating them and attaching them to the patient record happens right in the consultation), mobile note-taking on the move so no clinical context is lost, scanning of the LaMal insurance card for fast entry.

Timeline
Long-term partnership. First version shipped to the stores in March 2025. Evolutions and gradual rollout since.

The outcome
The app has been in production on the App Store and Google Play since March 2025, and is now deployed across Pulsemedica's customers. The partnership continues: AsuOs remains Pulsemedica's outsourced mobile team, freeing them to focus their own resources on the web platform, the backend and their core business as a medical software publisher.
The app is tied to Pulsemedica and reserved for healthcare professionals: using it requires a Pulsemedica account. More on pulsemedica.ch.
